Gym time to carpool line, these 3 smoothie recipes will get you up and going!

Quick and convenient- music to any busy woman or moms ears. While pregnant we worry about the weight gain, nutrients we are giving our babies, and if we are being honest... what tastes good. When you are a new mom you worry about just getting out of the door with everything you need for the day let alone feeding yourself. Smoothies were and are one way I make sure I am getting not only a healthy breakfast but breakfast at all.

 

These three smoothie recipes are quick and convenient and will provide you with the nutrients and energy to power through those Monday mornings or the overall workweek hustle! 

 

*Frozen or fresh fruit can be used in these recipes*

Pregnancy Paradise Smoothie

 

Ingredients:

4 whole strawberries

1/4 mango 

1/2 banana 

6 raspberries 

1/2 peach

1/4 cup orange juice 

1/4 cup almond milk

2 scoops vanilla nonfat yogurt 

 

Blend all of your ingredients together to get a yummy and delicious smoothie to enjoy at home or on the go!

 

Serving size: 1 smoothie 

 

Pregnancy Powerhouse Smoothie 

 

Ingredients: 

1/2 cup peanut butter

1 banana

1 cup milk (almond, cows milk, cashew milk-your choice)

1/4 tsp chia seeds

1/3 cup chocolate sauce 

 

Soak the chia seeds in the milk for a few minutes before blending with your other ingredients. Add ice to get your desired consistency.

 

Serving size: 1 smoothie 

 

Everything but the Kitchen Sink Smoothie 

 

Ingredients:

 

1/4 cup blueberries 

6 strawberries- cut for easier blending

1/2 mango

1 cup pineapple 

1 banana

1/4 cup raspberries 

1/3 cup spinach

1/2 tsp chia seeds

1 cup almond milk 

3/4 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt 

 

Soak the chia seeds for a couple of minutes in the almond milk before adding to the other ingredients. Combine ingredients and blend. Add ice for desired consistency. 

 

Serving size: pregnant lady and friend(s) or small family
